Biography

Esther Perel is a Licensed Marriage and Family therapist and AASECT certified sex therapist and supervisor. She has run her private practice in New York City for over 30 years. Author of Mating in Captivity and her upcoming book, The State of Affairs, Esther also serves on the faculty of the International Trauma Studies Program, affiliated with Columbia University and the Ackerman Institute for the Family.
